DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, October 10\, 2025 at 11:30 AM to honor Urban Ministries of Durham (UMD) 40+ years providing food\, shelter\, and a future to neighbors in need. Learn more about their mission while supporting a great cause at the 2025 Holiday Luncheon. \nWho Are They?\nUMD is a Durham-based non-profit that supports the unhoused\, hungry\, or in need community in the Triangle. They are the primary public homeless shelter in Durham that welcomes everyone – regardless of sexual orientation\, gender identity\, or disability. UMD’s main mission is to provide relief and end homelessness as quickly as possible. Last year\, they helped 118 people end their homelessness. Learn more about the organization and how you can help on their website. \nTickets/Sponsors\nThe luncheon is open to everyone and will run from 11:30 AM to approximately 1:30 PM. Tickets are available on the event website here. If you are unable to go\, you can still support their mission with a tax deductible donation\, also available on their event website\, or by sharing the event with your community on social media. \nFor those interested in buying a table or sponsoring\, please email Shana at sfilter@umdurham.org or give her a call at 919.671.7988. \nParking\nParking for the luncheon is available at the Durham Centre Garage\, located on W Morgan St. The garage is $2.25/hr.
